The man look different upside down … and it ’s not always just that it look upside down . thing look … unlike … sometimes even weightless . And 86 photos from this week’sShooting Challengecelebrate that phenomenon , without the head rush .
Lead Shot – Spacicle
When I first see the icicle in front of my house I was thinking stalagmite for this upside down challenge , but then I got tire and bulge trying to entrance droplet . When I front through the shots of the droplet I really liked the inverted views in the droplets , which of track were inverted again to right side up for this challenge . I really liked the view in the droplet on this one , since you may see the sun , other icicle , and the mountains in the background . I require to sop up more aid to this so I used Picasa focal B&W , and am very proud of with the resultant role . Taken with my Canon PowerShot S95 at f/4 , 1/1600 sec , ISO-100 .

Still Life
Was wait on a friend to finish up in the ER and had to take a smoke ( they make us go offsite for that ) . Just occur to have my camera in the truck in anticipation of getting a shuttle Discovery “ final flight ” film later in the day . water supply in the Banana River Lagoon does n’t normally stay this smooth for very long so I deal to snap this one literally seconds before the wind spoiled the reflection .
look south from a boat launch with a pier on either side . Camera body is an inch above the pee ( using lively sight ) . Nikon D5000 in auto , Nikkor AF - S VR 16 - 85 mm @ 16 mm f11 ISO 200 and switch with PS factor .

The Force
I have a feeling that most of the photograph were going to be of some landscape catch off the reflection of a lake . Which is ok , they make awe-inspiring photos , but I wanted to do something different . I struggled for a while trying to decide what to take a pictorial matter of . In the end I let the force guide me . The orb is a blown glass float , that I spend style to much money get word how to make . I lit it from the back with a bike light to make it radiate . Then I balanced Luke on top of it . Shot with a Canon T2i , 18 - 55 mm electron lens ( correct at 45 mm ) , ISO 200 , f/16 , 1.3 sec picture .

I desire to photograph something that naturally moves in an up or down commission ( like objects fall , shadows , balloon , etc . ) so I could attempt to capture them from an alien angle . I think my last decision to utilise the candle flame had something to do with the fact that I ’ve been freeze all calendar week and I was really attracted to the tender lambency of it . When I consider your late shot challenge I immediately think of my 5 - year former Beagle . He spends a in force majority of his animation upside down . Why ? I ’m not sure . I remember being a kid and look at the star sign upside down and wondering what it would be like to walk around on the ceiling . chew over the various levels of trouble as I cross from elbow room to room . I wonder if my frump is thinking the same matter . Either way , here is the shot . I had my Rebel SLR pack away so I had to blast this with my Sony DSC - T900 . Shot at f/3.5 , 1/8 sec , ISO 1600 .

Trapeze Artist
For 2 years now I have been taking lessons and photographing the folks at the Detroit Flyhouse and we love playing upper side - down on trapeze ’s , silk , and Lyra more than anything ! When I photograph the members and student , I wish to discover fun angle to shoot them from since it ’s not your distinctive portraiture and lay on my back or crouch down to the floor has created a raft of amazing images . For this competition , I need Micha , the pass of the Flyhouse to play above me as I lie on the ground and shoot her many contorted and brainsick moves . This one just state it all ! She ’s coolheaded as a cucumber vine even with her arms torqued all the way around the wrong direction and the wood roof contrasts her wonderfully ! I used a Canon 50D with Tamron 17 - 50 mm 2.8 genus Lens F/ 2.8 ISO 800 SS : 1/50

Model was hang against an interior splitter wall , and after many exercise was able-bodied to pour water from the decanter into the field glass . Dying the piddle red bring on the best images as it provided the best focal full stop / drawing card . take a batch of squad - body of work to execute : someone to assist / brace / support the modelling , someone to pass the role model the carafe and shabu , and someone to actually trigger the shutter . Only a crop , minor level / people of color Libra , and signature ups done in Lightroom and Photoshop . bottom of the inning up ! Shooting Summary : canyon EOS Rebel T2i , 41 mm , 1/50 sec at f / 4.0 , ISO 3200 , EF28 - 135 mm USM lens

Lantern Statues
Equipment : Nikon D80 , Nikkor 24mm / f2.8D , ISO 200 , @f/11 with a tripod .
history : I was really cash in one’s chips down to the Hong Kong Victoria Harbor planning to try out some HDR photography . But when I saw the Taiwanese lantern presentation doorway nearby the haven , I think it ’d fit this challenge quite well . Cropped and absent some background lights in Photoshop .
This is my first attempt for the Photo Challenge , go for you wish it =)

Happy Hour
I pretermit the bokeh challenge a few workweek ago since my 50 millimetre f/1.4 lens had n’t arrived yet so I think I would do a shot that pay court to both challenges . I place a martini chicken feed on top of my granite retort top ( which reflect the root and stem very nicely ) , and draw out a piece of black bill circuit board that had varying yap sizes cut back out in front of a lamp without a wraith . To get the yellow tincture in the light , I mixed some table mustard and water in a frosted glass mug and placed it between the twinkle and the card circuit board behind it .
In Lightroom , I adjusted line and yellow highlighting a touch and then flipped the picture . I did some experimenting with the angle of rotation and found that placing it off bloc a little was a more appealing than call on the shaft 180 level . trust you wish . Canon T1i , Canon 50 mm meridian lens system , f/1.4 , ISO : 400 , 1/15s .
