Alyssa Farah Griffinsays all is well between her and herThe Viewco-hostWhoopi Goldberg.

While laughing about the unprovoked question, she began painting the scene of the day’s events, noting that hermother-in-lawand grandmother-in-law were in the front row to watch her, which seemingly added to the awkwardness of the discussion.

“If there are two people in my life who want me to be pregnant today more than anyone it’s them, so just the most fortuitous timing,” the former White House director of strategic communications explained before crediting her makeup artist for giving her a radiant glow.

Farah Griffin, 34, toldThe View’s producer Brian Teta and listeners that she trusted thatthe EGOT winnermeant no harm with her curiosity. “Whoopi, she thinks out loud sometimes, and I chose to take it as a compliment — that I’m glowing,” she said. “She’s so sweet."

“At the break, she was apologizing to me and giving me the heart sign,” Farah Griffin shared. “That’s what makes the show fun. It’s completely unpredictable. I thought we were talking aboutMitt Romneybut then we were talking about my pregnancy plans of the future — which just again, headline news, I am not pregnant at this time.”

Teta jokingly asked if Farah Griffin wanted to make a “formal statement” about the speculation. He then pointed out that they are all part of a live and unscripted show.

“I literally was getting texts on the commercial break from reporters like, ‘Do you care to respond to this?’ I used to take questions about like, there was amissile attackin Afghanistan and now I’m like, ‘No, I’m not going to comment on my fake pregnancy right now,’ ” Farah Griffin said as she continued to laugh about the incident.

The two maintained thatThe Color Purpleactress was apologetic for asking.

“Whoopi said to me after, she’s like, ‘It just came over me, I don’t know what happened. It was like a vision,’ and she felt that it just came out of her,” the executive producer explained.

Whenever the time does come to announce a pregnancy, Farah Griffin already knows just how she plans to share the news, she said.

“I’ll be sure to blurt it out, if and whenI am pregnant. I will definitely interrupt Whoopi to inform her,” she said on the podcast.

Teta called Goldberg’s remarks “out of character” before stating that theSister Actstar is usually the one who warns Farah Griffin about revealing “too much personal information on the show.”

“I guarantee if I actually told her privately that I was pregnant, her advice would be, ‘Wait ‘til you’re ready to tell people.’ So that’s the funniest thing about it," Farah Griffin added. “She would never just shout it on air. But listen, that’s what makes the show interesting.”
