Apple is so hellbent on overtop the streaming music biz , it ’s doing something I never thought I ’d see : bestow its first app ever to Android . Starting this fall , Apple ’s young Beats - fueledstreaming music servicewill be available on Android telephone set . Apple Musicis the first native Apple app to female chest out of Apple ’s walled garden .
The decision to bring Apple Music to Android makes it clear that right now , Apple cares more about crushing Spotify than stay fresh its gates locked . There ’s a longer wait , but Android user will have the same $ 10 a month subscription price as multitude with Apple telephone .
It does n’t look like Apple ’s $ 15 family plan will be available , since it requires iCloud family communion . ( I ’ve email Apple to clear up . ) This represents a significant strategy fault for Apple . Whether it ’s enough to in reality rival Spotify , we wo n’t know until we pass some calibre time with Tim Cook and Jimmy Iovine ’s music - streaming innovation .
