The estimate of apex oil has haunted usfor decades . I say haunt because the concept that earlier or later we ’d guide out of the stuff has give to some horrendous public policy in the United States .

But it did n’t . The fossil oil company simply found new oil colour militia , and new technologies to get it out of the dry land .
As a society , we need to get off of fossil fuel . Not because our major planet is going to run out of them , but because it ’s destroy us . This is the 21st century . We have the technology . We ca n’t hold off for the oil to run out . Because it ’s not going to anytime soon . Just look at this prognostication from 1975 :

alas , so will everyone else because statistically that will be the yr the last barrel of oil is pumped from the last well on earth .

bill crude is a myth . The severe tenet of peak oil is not why we should be embracing substitute energy . Global climate change is the reason . Clear and simple . Everyone needs to stop wearing peak oil color like a fucking surety blanket . It ’s not going to save you . And it ’s not going to save us .
