Willis and Deepcake previously collaborated on a2021 Russian sound advertizement , with an AI - generated likeness of the actor appear in the spot . The sale of Willis ’ face to Deepcake reportedly allow the fellowship to create the actor ’s digital twin in perpetuity to stick in him into next picture show . Except this deal apparently does not subsist , per Willis ’ representatives , despite quotation on Deepcake ’s website about the histrion ’s excitement for his upcoming collaboration with the company .
In a statement shared with Gizmodo , Willis ’ interpreter stated that the actor “ has no partnership or arrangement with this Deepcake company . ”

According to theHollywood Reporter , a representative from Deepcake has said that Willis ’ digital - likeness can not be sold , as those rights belong to him . While the company did collaborate with Willis on the antecedently Russian phone run , any next economic consumption of Willis ’ deepfakes by Deepcake would be up to the role player . Deepcake did not immediately retrovert Gizmodo ’s request for a response to the Willis team ’s affirmation .
“ I liked the precision of my character . It ’s a great opportunity for me to go back in time , ” said Willis on the Deepcake website . “ With the advent of the modern engineering science , I could commune , work out and participate in filming , even being on another continent . ”
