The sixth Mission : out of the question picture show , Fallout , may have been the franchise’sbest yet . And now the gentleman mainly creditworthy for that success ( the man who is n’t named Tom Cruise , that is ) is coming back for not one , but two more missionary post .
Varietyreports that Christopher McQuarrie , who also conduct theexcellent fifth installmentin the enfranchisement , Rogue Nation , has been hire to write and direct two more Mission : Impossible moving picture which will shoot back to back , maybe as early as afterwards this yr . The aim is to free them during summer 2021 and summertime 2022 , avoiding Cruise ’s next big picture , Top Gun : Maverick , which will be out in 2020 .

His attention now turns to writing the two films , which will somehow have totop what he didin the last two movies . ( Or at least live up to it , which is hard enough . ) Then again , he did write The common Suspects ( which earned him an Oscar ) and Edge of Tomorrow , so he ’s got a jolly good track record backing him up .
