Doctor Who has belong through many formats and universes , but it ’s never been animated apart from a few missing sequence on the videodisc . ( There was an attemptback in the twenty-four hours with Nelvana . ) But now it turn out that the BBC flirted with creating an animated Who passably recently , and one creative person has shared some pitch art .

According to DC / Wildstorm artist Dan Norton , this was art that he created to pitch the show at the BBC ’s petition . And it would have featured all eleven doctor , which seems like a terrible estimation . The thing that generally makes Doctor Who play is its restraint — the change of Doctor over the eld help keep it smart , but trying to have more than one Doctor at a time seems like it ’ll just create a jumbo hole .

Nortonposted these paradigm on his Deviant Art page , and wrote :

Check out the artwork below — I love the elephantine scale of the Cyberman , and the anime - determine character reference , including a boy associate from the 1920s and a modern - day girl companion . But the notion of a potpourri of Doctor , or cycling through all the Doctors in one slate of episodes , seems like it would never win over casual viewers . And the spirit of some of the Dr. are a mo too cute for my liking .
