On Tuesday, Jan. 14, Grohl was spotted volunteering forFeed the Streets, a nonprofit organization that is distributing meals to displaced families and inmate firefighters amid the ongoing fires.

In a video shared to theirInstagram Stories, Grohl is seen stirring a giant pot of chili alongside fellow volunteers. In a subsequent video, Grohl — who resides in L.A. — is pushing a cart.

This isn’t the first time Grohl set time aside to give back. On Super Bowl Sunday in February, L.A. non-profit Hope the Mission shared anInstagram ReelfeaturingGrohl and his friends barbecuing 70 pork buttsfor The Woodlands Family Shelter.

Meanwhile, in December 2023, Grohl took time off the Foo Fighters' tourto volunteer in Melbourne, perDaily Mail.

Grohl volunteered at The Big Umbrella — a street kitchen charity for the homeless — and was serving food for several hours at Melbourne’s Federation Square location, per the outlet.

In February 2023, Grohl volunteered to feed the homeless with Hope the Mission and barbecued for 24 hours. A representative at the nonprofitconfirmed to PEOPLEthat the rocker and some friends cooked more than 500 meals for three shelters in the city.

Since the Los Angeles fires started on Tuesday, Jan. 7, tens of thousands of people have been affected and had to evacuate. Some lost their homes and businesses as a result of the fast-growing flames and high winds, while25 people have been reported dead.

“It was just such a shock for Jordyn. Her first instinct was that she wanted a divorce. The betrayal felt too heavy,” the insider said. “But as weeks passed, she got some space to think and it just felt very sad to her if the family would split up.”

Their marriage is “still not in great shape,” the source added at the time, but “they are trying to move forward.”
