It ’s the big 24-hour interval , family line : a very special natal day to one of the mostimportant religious figureson the planet , the child of the Virgin Mary . We ’re utter aboutthe vampireCamilla , of track . Who else could it have been ?
The howling story of Jesus ’ counterpart — who once again I can not accentuate enough is a vampire — add up in a bonkers episode of the iconic 1978 episode ofLupin III , called “ Lupin Has Become a Vampire ” in Japan , but fabulously localized as “ But Your Brother Was Such a Nice Guy ” in English . Killer title . Already firingon all cylinders .
The 34th episode of Lupin III : Part 2 , the crazy vitrine of Camilla begins when archaeologists expose a 2000 class former coffin living accommodations a mysteriously - still - living - woman , clutch an ancient statue of the Virgin Mary . Naturally , because he usually grapple with archaeological discoveries and their intersection point with potentially theological implications , Inspector Zenigata is brought in … or really , he ’s there because he ’s sure Lupin is going to want to steal the statue . He ’s right , of course , because this is an instalment of Lupin III and also the compounding of ancient gem and a gorgeous woman is a scenario Lupin could never resist .

When Lupin does make his move to swipe the statue , he encounter Camilla along the way , and after rent her to the village where her tomb was unveil , she attain her move — seducing Lupin before seize with teeth him , declare him now under her control . A draw of nonsense later as Lupin ’s pals Goemon , Jigen , and Fujiko all attempt to salvage their now - vampiric supporter leads us to the highlighting of the whole affair : Camilla discover her backstory .
Turns out Jesus was a twin , and Camilla was hold on the same legendary dark in Bethlehem . But because she was born a lamia , complete with little fangs , her parent were horror-stricken that such a wicked being could be deport alongside the son of God . Joseph desert Camilla and left with the new-sprung Jesus , but Camilla live , raise by packs of bats and wolves . When she grew up she sought vengeance against her much more famous brother , stealing the statue and whisking her way to Japan for eternal quietus — Jesus even apparently follow her there , and died in the same small town . All Camilla then had to do was wait , until she could use the statue of her mother to execute a sacrificial vaticination , pay her the king to rule the world .
Of of course , Lupin can goa little brainsick sometimesbut it ’s not “ alternate reality where Jesus ’ vampiric matching sis rules the human beings ” crazy . Goemon and Jigen rescue Lupin ( who it turns out was never actually really a vampire , and just playing along to get at the statue ) and Fujiko , who was break to be Camilla ’s sacrifice , and the gang makes their escape , until they ’re surrounded by Camilla and her vampire handmaiden . At which point Goemon promptly owns them by splice his sword and scabbard into a cross human body , throw it at Camilla to pin her to the ground as a bolt of lightning strikes the sword - hybridizing , incinerating the vampires .

Absolutely amazing . The real story of a Christmas Miracle . ‘ Tis the time of year , everyone , verify you result out cookie for Santa and some garlic to protect you from creatures of the night .
