Jade Roper Tolbertis remembering her little boy on the day she would have welcomed him into the world.
The couple and their three children — Reed, 2, andBrooks, 3, and daughterEmerson, 5 — gathered around a small heart-shaped blue and white cake with Beau’s name in the center. In the next video, the candle remains lit as she instructs her kids to “think of one warm, happy thought.”
Emerson says her happy thought is “to eat the cake,” while Reed repeats, “happy thought.” Turning to Brooks, she asks, “Do you have a happy thought?”
Smiling, he replies, “I love.” The three kids then came together to blow out the candle as the video concluded.

Roper Tolbert announced her miscarriage in anemotional Instagram postin August, writing, “I’ve been struggling with what to write here as I’ve been navigating a miscarriage.”
Roper Tolbert then explained: “I’m currently experiencing what is called a missed miscarriage, so while his heart has stopped and he has stopped growing (for some time now), my body hasn’t released the pregnancy yet. I am hoping to do this naturally and am trusting in timing and in my body under the care of my provider.”
“I’ve been carrying him with so much pride and cherish every moment still left with part of him, but it has also been equally as challenging and devastating,” Roper Tolbert went on to write.

On Thanksgiving, Roper Tolbertreflected on the ups and downs of her yearwhile celebrating the holiday with her family.
“Plenty to be thankful for this year. Thankful for theirabundant laughs, hugs, energy(yes, even that haha), and love,” she wrote.
“I can’t believe I get to be their safe place. Even when the days are hard, my gratitude is what brings me back down to what really matters. Them. ❤️”
