Prince William, who became the Prince of Wales upon the death of his grandmotherQueen Elizabethin September, has to split his sports allegiances between the nations of the U.K. Hestayed diplomaticwhen asked if he would support England or Wales in the World Cup last year, wishing both teams luck in the soccer tournament.

As President of the Football Association, Prince William is the head of the England soccer scene and is a passionate supporter of that squad, famously taking Prince George tothe final of the European Championshipin July 2021.

Goalball is a Paralympic sport for the visually impaired where all the players wear eyeshades or blindfolds. Tactile lines are used for players to feel where they are and the ball has an internal bell allowing the players to hear where it is.

Both Prince William and Princess Kate sported goggles to participate in a penalty shout-out.

Tim Lawler, the chief executive of SportsAid, exclusively told PEOPLE, “The prince shot and the goalie saved it, but the princess took a shot and she scored, so bragging rights to the princess!”
