RapperRich the Kidwas robbed and shot at while outside a recording studio in West Hollywood, California, asUsherworked on music at a separate session inside.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office in West Hollywood told PEOPLE that an assault took place outside of a recording studio Tuesday evening, but did not name Rich the Kid, 26.
The rapper was seen speaking to police after the incident and TMZconfirmedhe was targeted.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office later released a statement confirming the robbery “occurred on the 7200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, at approximately 3:13 p.m. today.”
The Sheriff’s Office said when sheriffs arrived on the scene “they found three male black assault victims” in apress release.

According to an eyewitness, as many as 10 gunshots were fired following an altercation outside the Westlake Recording Studio, TMZreports.
A member of Rich the Kid’s entourage was allegedly badly struck with a pistol, TMZ reported.
Rich the Kid’s condition is unknown at this time.
Initial reports suggested Usher was also attacked, however, the singer, 40, was fortunately safely inside the studio at the time gunfire broke out.
Usher, PEOPLE confirms, was working on his own music and was not recording with Rich the Kid.
Just hours before the alleged attack, Rich the Kid shared a photo of himself posing in front his cobalt blue Lamborghini truck while holding stacks of cash.
The alleged robbery comes just a few months after Rich the Kid was hospitalized following a violent home invasion.
The rapper was attacked and robbed at gunpoint while at his girlfriend Tori Brixx’s home in Los Angeles on June 14, TMZreported.
The robbers demanded money and jewelry.
Rich the Kid was reportedly beaten and admitted to a local hospital for treatment, TMZ reported. His girlfriend was also injured.
On Sunday, June 17, Rich the Kid wasreleased from the hospitaland shared a photo of himself in a hospital bed, which has since been deleted, thanking fans for their prayers and support.
“I thank you God we still here, thank you all for your prayers being in this game you gotta know what comes with it watch for the fakes & snakes the more money the more hate,” Rich wrote, according to Billboard.
There were no arrests made in the alleged home invasion.
A representative for Rich the Kid not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment regarding Tuesday’s incident.
