The folk-pop icon, 62, was among the performers at theMichael J. FoxFoundation’s benefit concert ACountryThing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s on Tuesday, April 2, and while on stage at Nashville’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, she revealed that she proposed toBilly JoelandLionel Richiethat the three go on a world tour together.
TheRock and Roll Hall of Fame inducteeexplained that the Piano Man, 74, wasn’t up for it when she suggested the idea last year and revealed his reasoning. She said he responded, “I only do two shows a month.”

The country music star, 45, who performed himself, added, “She has always proven herself to be somebody who says what she means.”
Backstage, the “If It Makes You Happy” singer continued the conversation with Isbell, expressing her concerns about how A.I. is affecting the music industry.
A Country Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s also featuredLittle Big Town, and the show concluded with an encore performance from Crow, Isbell and the band.

Although Crow may not be hitting the road with Joel and Richie for an extended run of shows, the three Grammy-winning artists have previously taken to the stage together. In November 2022, they played a special one-night-only show at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Crow also joined Richie, 74, in late 2023 for his Dancing in the Sand show in the Bahamas at the Atlantis resort.
The “Vienna” singer is also currently in the midst ofwrapping up his legendary residencyat New York City’s Madison Square Garden and playing select number of North American tour dates. This year sees himperforming a handful of stadium shows across the U.S.withStingandStevie Nicks, while also returning to New York to play the final dates of his long-running residency.

Last year, Joel announced that he would beending his Madison Square Garden concerts in 2024, with the final show set for July 25.

CBS will be airing footage from the singer-songwriter’s March 28 show on April 14 at 9 p.m. ET, in honor of it being his record-breaking 100th consecutive concert at the iconic venue.
The special, titledThe 100th: Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden — The Greatest Arena Run of All Time, will mark the first time that Joel has ever aired a concert on a broadcast network.
