The man suspected of murder after atorso was found in a dumpsterhas now been officially charged with three counts of murder in connection with the deaths of his wife and in-laws, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office says.
Mei Li Haskell, 37, and her parents, Gaoshan Li, 72, and Yanxiang Wang, 64, were last seen Nov. 6. They lived together with Mei’s husband, Samuel Haskell, and the three children of Mei and Samuel.
The next day, the district attorney’s office says, Samuel was observed allegedly disposing of another trash bag that was later found to have a human torso in it. He was arrested the next day.

Samuel is being held without bond. In addition to the murder charges, prosecutors also allege a special circumstance of multiple murders. It is not immediately clear if he has retained an attorney.ABC 7reports that his arraignment will be held Dec. 8.

CNN reportsthat Haskell is the son of producer and Hollywood agent Sam Haskell, who has represented stars likeWhoopi GoldbergandDolly Parton.
